1. the formative years; the seeding:
the violinist
1895-1904: first steps in Vilanova i la Geltrú- initial studies under the guidance of his father, first public appearances.
1905-1911: moving to Barcelona and the new academic life - "Impressions incoherents de la meva vida frívola a Barcelona (total res!)".
1912-1919: the explosion of the Quartet Renaixement - from Barcelona to Europe (Paris, Berlin, Viena) and back to Barcelona.
2. the period between wars; the harvest:
the composer
1920-1923: the revelation of a true love - "Dichterliebe" ("the Poet's Love") and the charming and captivating young girl with a face like a Schumann song
1924-1928: the culmination of an era - "A l'ombra del lledoner", "Garba" and "El giravolt de maig".
1929-1936: the exquisite maturity - "La rosa als llavis", the exploration of a new horizon.
3. the last period; after the masacre, the reconstruction and plenitude:
the conductor
1937-1943: the search for light after the devastating Spanish civil war - the gestation of a monumental project.
1944-1962: an exemplary civic and artistic action - a new orchestra is born; the personal sacrifice to the municipal service.
