Iu Pascual i Rodés (Vilanova, 1883 - Riudarenes, 1949)
was a Catalan painter.
Disciple of Joan Llimona at the "Cercle Artístic de Sant Lluc", he specialized in landscape painting, known for its bucolic and traditional pictures. In the first stage of its intense colors of a painting is evolving into an approach advocated in nature by the "Cercle Artístic de Sant Lluc".
He collaborated with Antonio Gaudi in the decoration of several of his works, such as Casa Mila and the restoration of the Cathedral of Mallorca. He designed the stained glass windows of the monastery of Montserrat.
On the death of José Berga Boix he was appointed director of the School of Arts Minor in Olot (1914), where he promoted the creation by the Government of Catalonia at the School Olot Landscape (1934) who was the director. After the civil war, now defunct School, was installed in Riudarenes because of political repression.
