Belgian violinist.

Member of the Isaye Quartet (1884-94), he moved to Barcelona in 1895 with his own quartet, founded the previous year. To introduce the Romantic chamber repertoire.

Established in Barcelona in 1896 and acted in Majorca with the collaboration of Enrique Granados. He formed a trio with Granados and Pablo Casals, and in 1897, he founded the Philharmonic Society in Barcelona, ​​with musicians from the former Catalan Society Concert. Run in Barcelona entire cycle of Beethoven sonatas with pianist Belgian A. de Greef. He lived in Barcelona until 1905 and was appointed professor of violin at the conservatories of Liege (1910) and Brussels (1919). He has written chamber works, a collection of violin lessons and two works for violin teaching.
